Put the ball on the next last-hit and tax the step-up with passive autos, because Orianna lane is strongest when she makes CS windows awkward instead of just throwing poke, and recent data says she is less forgiving than peers like Viktor, Syndra, and Hwei when she gives up that early space
Before a fight starts, decide whether the ball should live on your engager or your carry, then use W, E, and even a one- or two-target R to punish the first real commit rather than waiting for a perfect five-man moment
Two Orianna habits worth keeping are W-speeding the next friendly wave after a lane kill to improve the crash and reset, and hiding delivery combos by attaching the ball during an ally’s dash instead of telegraphing it on them too early
Hold R when the enemy has not really committed yet and your ball still controls their path. In those spots, W and E often do more work first: W changes whether they can keep stepping, and E lets you absorb the first meaningful burst while keeping the ball in a live position. Press R once someone has used the dash, crossed too far into your space, or locked themselves onto your carry or the objective entrance. If you ult from neutral space just because two people are visible, you usually spend Orianna’s strongest punish before the fight has told you who actually matters.
Orianna's Attacks deal additional magic damage. This damage increases the more Orianna Attacks the same target.
Orianna commands her Ball to fire toward a target location, dealing magic damage to targets along the way (deals less damage to subsequent targets). Her Ball remains at the target location after.
Orianna commands her Ball to release a pulse of energy, dealing magic damage around it. This leaves a field behind that speeds up allies and slows enemies.
Orianna commands her Ball to attach to an allied champion, Shielding them and dealing magic damage to any enemies it passes through on the way. Additionally, the Ball grants additional Armor and Magic Resist to the champion it is attached to.
Orianna commands her Ball to unleash a shockwave, dealing magic damage and launching nearby enemies towards the Ball after a short delay.
