Treat four Ferocity as part of the route, not something to improvise mid-fight: load stacks before you show and decide before the leap whether this is an empowered E catch, an empowered W cleanse, or an empowered Q finish .
If the target is already trapped, auto first and use Q as the reset; do not autopilot midair Q unless you need the tighter burst window before flash or peel lands .
Rengar’s best games come from making side waves, camps, and ward checks feel like a rope the enemy can break by walking one step too far alone, then punishing that exact overstep before the team can reconnect .
Use empowered W when the enemy’s answer matters more than your first burst: point-and-click CC, tower return damage, bruisers who win if the fight extends, or any jump where you expect to get hit by multiple spells on landing. The key is deciding that before you leap, not after you are already rooted and mashing buttons. If empowered Q only works when they fail to answer, it was usually an empowered W spot. This comes up a lot in skirmishes around river, counterganks, and late-game picks where killing one target cleanly is less realistic than surviving the first punish and finishing on the second cycle.

Rengar's predatory instincts take over, Camouflaging him and revealing the nearest enemy champion in a large radius around him. During Thrill of the Hunt, Rengar gains Move Speed and he can leap to the tracked enemy without being in brush, reducing their armor.
